Around the Pigeon Islands

A protected site for many years, the Pigeon Islands, also known as the Cousteau Reserve, welcome divers of all levels and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy themselves.

For about thirty years, the National Park of Guadeloupe has set up fixed anchorages on the whole area. Since then, no one can drop anchor, which considerably preserves corals, sponges and other fixed organisms.

The Pigeon Islands become “Heart of the Park” in 2009. A charter is then established so that future generations can enjoy these exceptional funds.

For all divers

Only 1 mile (1.3km) away, in front of the diving center “Les Heures Saines”, the Pigeon islets offer the possibility to discover the richness of the Caribbean seabed by snorkeling, first dive, exploration dive from 0 to 60m depending on the level of each one, and training dive.

We find a first coral plateau (2 to 10m) under the moorings of the boats, followed by another coral plateau (12 to 22m) surrounding the 2 islets; plateau extended by a drop off.

Gorgonians and other corals can be observed up to 60 meters deep.
